Assistant/Associate Professor Health Education and Health Promotion University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, has been ranked the No. 2 public university in the Midwest by U.S. News and World Report. As a 4-year comprehensive institution, the UW?La Crosse has a rich history as a teaching institution and is the only university within the UW-System to offer an undergraduate major in school health education. UW-La Crosse also offers a Master of Science in Health Education in the UW-System.

The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, College of Science and Health, Department of Health Education and Health Promotion, invites applicants for a full-time academic year tenure track Assistant/Associate Professor starting in August of 2013. The Health Education and Health Promotion Department recognizes and values diversity in its faculty, staff, and students. We seek a colleague who shares the department?s commitment to diversity and who will be a dedicated teacher, active scholar, and mentor for students with diverse backgrounds. We are looking for a teacher/scholar who is enthusiastic, motivated and has a strong desire to help students succeed. Teaching responsibilities will include undergraduate and graduate health education core and content courses and as well as advising undergraduate students, serving on thesis committees and graduate project advising. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellence as a teacher, develop an active scholarship program, and participate in service.

Required Qualifications: Doctorate in Health Education or closely related discipline, evidence of teacher preparation and PK-12 teaching experience. ABD will be considered. Preferred Qualifications: At least 1 year of pk-12 teaching experience; experience supervising student teachers; potential for teaching, scholarship, and service excellence at the university level and appropriate certification or licensure.
